Free trade era of the year 2008 is approaching, only a year to come. The free trade will provide facilities to international businesses and trades to do business in more flexible and global way. In the free trade, regulatory barriers across countries will be simplified; as a result, many countries have updated their import-export regulations and even some countries set out their regulations jointly. All customs facilities ranging from issuance and filling out of the export-import documents (such as PEB or PIB), delivery process/cargo transportation, insurance coverage to secure the trading assets to the role of banking institutions in providing supports to the export-import activities are very important. In a free trade era, one’s knowledge about international business and trade is one of the determinant factors in developing his competitive advantage. By making use of the available facilities, concepts and procedures, it can improve trust on the Indonesia’s export and import activities as well as eliminate any ambiguity in doing international trade and business. Foreign businessmen who will establish a business cooperation with their Indonesian partners who are aware of the Indonesia’s business practices and procedures is a very vital.
